Ecommerce fulfillment services here cover receiving, storage, picking, packing, kitting and returns under one SOP. A unit reserved for a Shopify order and a unit reserved for a retail purchase order come off the same shelf, counted once.

Cross-Border Logistics Between Canada and the United States
Cross-border shipping stopped being a rounding error when Section 321 de minimis ended. A parcel that crossed duty-free before August 2025 now carries duties and taxes, which lands on your supply chain as a per-unit cost, and the landed cost math changed for every brand holding inventory on one side of the border.

Section 321, USMCA Origin Tagging and Landed Cost
The Section 321 de minimis suspension removed the workaround a generation of Canadian brands was built on. Your customs broker determines which SKUs qualify under CUSMA and USMCA rules of origin, and Vertex records that origin tag against each SKU in the WMS before you commit inventory to a node.
Node-splitting follows the math, not the map. A brand selling 70% into the United States usually holds US inventory and serves Canada from Vancouver. A brand with a Canadian-origin catalogue often does better consolidating. We quote the freight costs and transit times before a single pallet moves, and your customs broker confirms the duties and taxes exposure.
